"Oh, Geoffrey, you adorable grumpy duke, you!

Ya girl loves a grumpy duke book. Grumpy dukes and tough females go together like chocolate and peanut butter. I could read them all day long.

Geoffrey is a black-haired, blue-eyed behemoth of a duke. Broad shoulders, large thighs and a grouchy disposition. The women repeatedly correct him because he curses CONSTANTLY (later in the book, the girls make fun of Diana because she curses too - "That's the duke coming out...") and his behavior is atrocious. Diana stands up to him in their initial meeting and Geoffrey falls like a ton of bricks. Seeing those two go back and forth like a tennis match was delightful. I love how Diana constantly stands up to him and his grouchy, high-handed behaviors and puts him in his place. Repeatedly.

The characters in this book are so well written and the spice level is high. It's got the right amount of cuteness & spice to make it a great book. I fell in love with this series after this book."
"2.5/5 ⭐️ The premise of this one and the beginning seemed so promising, but unfortunately I did not end up enjoying this book. I found the characters in it to be strong willed and interesting but also frustrating and confusing. The romance in this seemed solely focused on physical attraction, but my biggest issue was the contradictory and convoluted actions of the main characters. I couldn’t follow their motivations which made me dislike them by the end of the story. The plot was interesting enough (even though I had some issues with some twists it chose to take) but it wasn’t enough to save this one for me."
