"4.5 stars- Let’s clear up the discrepancy of ratings. This book is NOT for those people who are hard laden thriller/horror junkies…if you go into this book looking for this you aren’t going to find it.

This book is more of a REALISTIC domestic suspense that would leave most people terrified if it were happening to you.

Hopefully that will help those choosing to pick this up because it’s really good and it should be picked up!

I loved the authors previous book, [b:Too Good to Be True|53137955|Too Good to Be True|Carola Lovering|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1607321994l/53137955._SY75_.jpg|75744540], and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one.
The power of your first true love as an adult can make people do all kinds of things and this is what you will find as the centerpiece of this story.
Love can be so many things to different people, but when a person feels that first love was stolen from them…all bets are off.

With some of my favorite narrators this was an awesome read."
"This book is a perfect melding of [b:Daisy Jones & The Six|40597810|Daisy Jones & The Six|Taylor Jenkins Reid|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1580255154l/40597810._SY75_.jpg|61127102]and [b:You|36430011|You (You, #1)|Caroline Kepnes|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1549463282l/36430011._SY75_.jpg|39913517]. The book is told by three separate narrators on multiple timelines, but it’s done so well you don’t find yourself lost in time. Can’t Look Away centers on a girl named Molly. Molly is an English major that just so happens to catch the eye of rockstar Jake Danner while he’s on the rise. What seems like everlasting love with a few flaws makes this a good book for scratching a light romance itch. You almost feel transported back to that romance you had in your twenties where the love was deep, and the fights were frequent. On another timeline Molly is in her thirties and married to someone other than Jake. This alone would be enough to keep me turning the pages to find out how they fell apart but then in walks Sabrina. I loved how this book split into two genres, and both made you want to see what would happen next. I was drawn in by the love story and I was propelled forward by the thriller. The complexities of human emotion are splashed on the pages in a realistic way. How do you let go of an all-encompassing love? How do you measure up to who you wanted to be when you were in your twenties? While this is not my favorite book by Lovering it was still a good read, and I will continue to look for her new releases. I recommend this book to fans of Nicholas Sparks, domestic thrillers, and realistic romance.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan for providing me with the ARC and the opportunity to read this book. As of now, it is set for a June 14, 2022 release.
"
"What I loved:

A captivating storyline about the mystery of what was, and the journey of how things ended up, and why.
3 POV’s of important main characters, which gave us a glimpse into their lives, and how everyone is connected.
The moments of suspense, that essentially kept me reading.
What I would’ve enjoyed more:

More moments of suspense, and plot surprises.
I think overall, this is a softer mystery thriller. Not too intense, and overall and good slow paced burn. Perfect to enjoy on a summer day by a bonfire."
