"Main female lead is determined, more serious, and seeking vengeance/justice for herself. She isn’t feisty, yet very strong and focused. I really like her - she is refreshing. The main male character is more go-lucky, nonchalant, but also surprisingly genuine and good hearted. A dose of classic scoundrel and then some. I wish there was more romance in this book tbh. There is, but not as much as I am used to (I am a SJM girlie) Still, very good chemistry, well-written, and well-paced romance between the main two characters. Bonus: super interesting side characters, world and magic system! "
