Bill Gates
In this urgent, authoritative book, Bill Gates sets out a wide-ranging, practical - and accessible - plan for how the world can get to zero greenhouse gas emissions in time to avoid a climate catastrophe.Bill Gates has spent a decade investigating the causes and effects of climate change. With the help of experts in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, political science, and finance, he has focused on what must be done in order to stop the planet's slide toward certain environmental disaster. In this book, he not only explains why we need to work toward net-zero emissions of greenhouse gases, but also details what we need to do to achieve this profoundly important goal.He gives us a clear-eyed description of the challenges we face. Drawing on his understanding of innovation and what it takes to get new ideas into the market, he describes the areas in which technology is already helping to reduce emissions, where and how the current technology can be made to function more effectively, where breakthrough technologies are needed, and who is working on these essential innovations. Finally, he lays out a concrete, practical plan for achieving the goal of zero emissions-suggesting not only policies that governments should adopt, but what we as individuals can do to keep our government, our employers, and ourselves accountable in this crucial enterprise. As Bill Gates makes clear, achieving zero emissions will not be simple or easy to do, but if we follow the plan he sets out here, it is a goal firmly within our reach.

"The best and most practical book on climate change I’ve read. Bill Gates does a great job of making this topic very easy to read and understand and also provide optimism, which is something most writers on this topic miss. As he rightly predicted a health pandemic, I hope people take this serious. I was hoping to read this sooner but I think @billgates forgot to send me one of the prerelease signed copies so I could review. "
"One most important part that Bill missed is that we need to incorporate this in to our kids' education. In getting to net zero by 2050, that is 30 years from now, most people in their 30s will be in their 60s and our politicians, whom we elect for presidents and prime ministers, already in their 80s and will be dead by then. How can those old folks understand the problems faced by younger people when they don't even encourage them to vote.
It's our kids who are in their teens or younger or even unborn who will be suffering the most from climate change . Shouldn't they be given education on this on a daily basis in their schools and colleges? Wouldn't that help them come up with more ideas and solutions for the problems they will be facing that we are going to create for them?

Over all this book has tons of repeats mainly due to the nature of the topic.
Bill has encouraged use of lot of products without naming them directly, example plant based meat. We must also understand that this is for his own benefit too cause of his heavy investment in such products.
Overall a good book to start to think about what we can do at individual, corporate, government, country and several other levels to prevent or mitigate climate change.

Bill could have covered a lot of details on the severity and effects of climate change rather than repeat a ton of information."
"Easy to digest, discussing heavy climate change topics with practicality and optimism. The reader is left with a clear understanding of what to do, the gravity of why, and actions for how we can influence change "
