"It's important to note that other than one manga styled story, the majority of the stories are written by Hirokatsu Kihara and are read in a left to right format. Hirokatsu Kihara originally wrote these stories in Japanese, so the translations to English may be a slightly different vibe than the original stories because some words in Japanese don't have a direct English translation. I think that the translators did an incredible job! With that said, Junji Ito provided his original illustrations to help provide spooky visuals to Kihara's stories!!!
I will admit that this particular book is way different than your usual "Junji Ito" manga volume, but it is vital to note that is technically a collection of short stories written by Kihara and Junji Ito only assisted by providing his original visuals/interpretations to enhance and bring the stories to life, he also created a bonus manga story that is all Juni Ito's original work based off of a Kihara story.
Real life is stranger than fiction, and this book truly captures this theme!!! I love scary stories, and it's even more spooky to know that these are based off of real life spooky encounters!!! "
