"4.5 ⭐️ So excited to be back in the Nyaxia world. I took a chance and didn’t reread the first duology again and I definitely felt like I remembered enough to not feel lost in this book. I absolutely adore Mische, she is empathetic, funny and bold. I found the format interesting and engaging as the trek down to the underworld was broken up into parts. The cliffhanger was killer and I am so excited that I waited for the second book to come out before starting this one so that I could jump right into it! "
"DNF (page 232)

Booooooo. Tomato tomato.

I appreciate what the first book in the series did in getting me back into fantasy, but WOW this book is annoying.
Incredibly repetitive. Oh look, they’re diving/jumping/falling into nothingness again. Yes, Mische, remind me again that you have to dig deep for your magic. The only thing you need to know about Chandra is that she is a human who can’t handle the presence of death and is whispering prayers. Just in case you forget, it will be mentioned every chapter. Wasted my time beating me over the head with pointless details to try and distract from the continuity errors and soulless characters, hmmmm???

Listen. I knew this book wouldn’t change my life. Sometimes you just need a silly little romantasy book. But this is NOT it. Too many tropes with no character development/interesting plot to make it worth it my time. You can use tropes and still have substance to a book. If you want to write ****, just go write ****. No need for 500 pages of whatever this is.

I have thoughts about some other stuff too but I need to get away from this book for a minute lmaoooo"
"3.5 stars ⋆。°✩ It was a little spookier than I was prepared for & I feel like I wanted something more? I had some trouble visualizing some of the trials they went through & I also wish we had more of a backstory about Asar. However, the ending was crazy, and I love Mische, so I enjoyed it"

"I love this world. But this book was a struggle the first half. The writing is absolutely beautiful. But the world building definitely lacked. The second half of the book, was fantastic. Though it felt rushed at the end, I still recommend it. I have a feeling the next book is going to be amazing.

The only thing I wish, is there was more information in the first half about the two main characters. I felt like it lacked. As did the love aspect of it. I needed a little more yearning or attraction being showed."

"3.75 ⭐️ I love Mische’s character in the previous two books. This story was much more difficult to follow, so I couldn’t rate it as high as the the first two books. Azar’s character and storyline was really interesting. I will be anxiously waiting for the next book."
