A reformed rake sets his sights on true love in this steamy Regency romance by the #1 New York Times–bestselling author of Butterfly in Frost. The Marquess of Grayson never felt a twinge of guilt when he stole the beautiful Lady Pelham right out from under his best friend’s nose. After all, they were well matched in all things—their sensual appetites, wicked wits, provocative reputations, and their absolute refusal to ruin their marriage of convenience by falling in love. But then a shocking turn of events sent her roguish husband from her side. Four years later, he has returned a powerful, irresistible man who is determined to seduce his way into her affections. No, this is not at all the man she married. But he is the man who might finally steal her heart . . .Praise for The Stranger I Married“Boldly passionate, scorchingly sexy Regency romance.” —Booklist“The writing . . . is very smooth and readable and the love scenes very hot and nicely done.” —All About Romance

"Absolutely confused as to how the ratings are all so high. *TRIGGER WARNING ABOUT SEXUAL ASSAULT WHICH THE BOOK SHOULD HAVE TOO** <br/><br/><br/>The main love interest repeatedly assaults his wife, and sexually assaults her. There was a very graphic, very violent scene in a bathroom that we were supposed to enjoy, wherein the wife keeps saying "no" which is absolutely ignored by the husband who has said that he will take her whether she's willing or not. I was in such shock and so appalled from this scene that I couldn't have continued reading if I wanted to, and I didn't want to. This is the type of novel that perpetrates the notion of "she was asking for it". The leading man reeks of "she gave me bedroom eyes so it wasn't assault" which, sorry hun, does NOT hold up in a court of law when she repeatedly, consistently, told you no. Absolutely disgusted in this novel and disappointed in everyone who enjoyed it. Can't believe this pro-r*pe narrative is still being promoted. Can't believe I read a r*pe scene and the author is presenting it as a good thing. God. <br/>"
