"If anyone ever said being an adult was easy, they hadn't been one long enough. Diana Casillas can admit it: she doesn't know what the hell she's doing half the time. How she's made it through the last two years of her life without killing anyone is nothing short of a miracle. Being a grown-up wasn't supposed to be so hard. With a new house, two little boys she inherited the most painful possible way, a giant dog, a job she usually loves, more than enough family, and friends, she has almost everything she could ever ask for. Except for a boyfriend. Or a husband. But who needs either one of those?"--Publisher's description.

"<strong>Very good</strong><br/><br/>Let me start with what I didn't like. I hate age gaps. I think they are gross whether in real life or in media. 12 years is way too much for me and if I had known that was in this story I wouldn't have read it. Secondly, I'm really tired of reading about how hot every other guy in the book is. This isn't specific to this author but it's so exhausting. This author takes it further by having the FMC tells us that she finds Dallas' brother and cousin more attractive than him. Honestly she had more chemistry with Trip than she did Dallas.<br/><br/>That said, this was a great slow burn story. I hated Dallas for the first 25% of this book but he really became a great lead.leader. I liked Diama instantly and she was such a great character. So strong and loving. She didn't back down and she loved fiercely. I thoroughly enjoyed the way the story unfolded and these 2 people fell in love. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because of the 2 reasons I listed above but if you're okay with those things then you'll love this book."

"Absolutely loved it! Beautiful beautiful story. I think I can say that my favorite parts were every part that included the two boys. I think I can say that I liked those more than the romance. But it's okay I still loved Dallas! So very sweet and protective ❤️ his grandma so sweet and funny too"
