"I have never read a Amanda Hocking book before, and the Watersong series is a good start. The reason I picked up because of the cover, which is beautiful. It just made me want to know what the story was about. I did enjoy it it. Its a quick and fun to read, especially for the summer. <br/><br/>I have always like mermaids; in fact, The Little Mermaid was my favorite fairytale growing up, for that's how my fascinating with mermaids started. Theses mermaids or Sirens as they're called in the books, are pretty creepy. They're beautiful but evil. <br/>"
"I really like the first part of this book. It's got interesting characters and a wickedly good pace. It's exciting. Unfortunately, its over all too soon, and I found the second part lacking in both the interesting characters and the good pacing. It breaks down into long periods of exposition too often, and the characters, for the most part, seem to have personalities that simply fit the needs of the moment."
