"Most dog movies are family movies. This one, while still a family watch, is a little more suspenseful and has a bit more bite, for lack of a better term, than most. Kodi Smit-McPhee plays a frail and sensitive boy 20K years ago who gets lost and with the aid of a wolf has to survive the elements and predators to get home. Subtitled with a language some anthropologist came up with that combines several different ancient dialects. Better than average adventure movie. "
"Was a little disappointed realizing this was a dog movie. But feel like this is a perfect atmosphere for it. A younger hunter gather taming a wild animal. From him not having the heart to do so.
I feel like this relationship evolving is much cooler to see. Then say a typical dog. Obviously because of him becoming more of a dog.
Really liked the outfits and the designs of the tents or whatever they’re called. Especially a certain woman who you see a glimpse of. Before they all leave.
Such a pretty movie. Mainly just landscapes and nature but looks very solid.
This movie reminds me of prey and the revenant.
Wish there were more hunting scenes. But mainly just glimpses of that. Especially with him and the wolf.
It’s very slow for sure but really enjoyed it .
I know it’s a little silly but was cool seeing all the animals. Especially a certain one I haven’t seen for a long time in a movie.
This movie is mainly just about surviving but it’s very light. Good way for me to ease into tomorrow’s movie."
"I was not able to enjoy this movie as too many things bothered me throughout its length. The story, casting - human and animal, language, costumes and CGI all disappointed me, and only two scenes moved me. One star and pass."

"It was funny to make jokes out of."
