"Max von Sydow should have won the best supporting Oscar for this!!!"

"This’s a film that I didn’t know would be an instant favourite. Oskar is a clever child whose dad, Thomas Schell, is sadly murdered in 9/11. And because he needs an explanation to help process his grief, he goes on a journey to find the story of one of his dad’s objects that he finds in a closet. Through that journey he grows closer to his small community as well as his loving mum and somewhat finds a closure. Warning: watch with a plenty of tissues as it’s a moving story. 🥹"
"This movie allows us a glimpse into a world we are normally unable to understand .. the young boy makes it impossible not to feel his grief and struggle to grasp his pain and move forward "

"This is one of the most beautiful movies about grief. This boy’s very unique perspective and approach to holding on to his father’s memory and making sense of his death is a beautiful treasure hunt. The sun analogy he uses in the beginning is very touching and the picture he paints of his relationship with his dad is heartbreaking and poetic. I very much want to read the book now."
