"'free voice of labor' is, IMO, better than the 'anarchism in america' documentary, because it gets right to the meat of what i found interesting about the latter: the history. i didn't know the bolsheviks basically ripped off the anarchists' playbook and stripped it of what anarchists considered most important. also of COURSE the USA deported anarchists back to die in europe. 😓 can't have threats to capitalism or protests against a war capitalists could profit from!
i don't speak yiddish, russian, or german, but i really loved the music and the people interviewed were very fun. i only wish there were english subtitles available so i could better understand people with thick yiddish accents, false teeth, and reedy voices. fascinating and informative."
