"I haven’t watched any of the movies in this series and decided to watch this one and I wasn’t completely lost! It explained briefly in certain scenes what occurred previously and it ‘caught me up’. Was it the best horror film? No. If you’ve watched Stranger Things you’ll see in this film with the show. The upside down from stranger things is featured here but in a different scenario pretty much. Had a couple jump scares but nothing out of the ordinary, I didn’t feel connected with this horror film. #horror #thriller"
"I don’t know why the ratings on this are as bad as they are. It’s def the weakest and did feel a little rushed story wise. It’s not scary at all but some moments are well shot. Also, it’s pretty typical formula wise for a horror film with some cool visuals and art. I’d give it about 6.8/10 but I’m biased cuz I just like Patrick Wilson . "
" Nothing too scary and we have to frustratingly learn things we already knew. Since the father and son had their memories erased of the crazy stuff they went through.
Which some how also made them grow apart. Learning to love each other again is probably the strongest aspect of the movie. It’s touching but not entirely always scary."
"What a disappointment considering I’d have expected the last one would be a deal breaker. Probably the worst one of them all. "

"I don't understand all the bad reviews but I thought this sequel was spectacular and I definitely jumped. I think it tied in everything all together pretty nicely and it played in all these little details if you take notice. I enjoyed the storyline and I especially like the light hearted edition of Chris. I like the overall theme of you can't forget the past you need to remember it that really resonates with me. "
