"I knew by the title of this movie that I was in for a strange and hopefully comedic watch. I am going to try to explain this movie the best that I can...This movie stars Gene Wilder as an Irishman who actually makes a living selling horse manure, which he collects from horses in the village and sells to neighbors and businesses to fertilize their gardens. He meets Margo Kidder, (of the 1980's and 1990's Superman movie series with Christopher Reeve.) an American exchange student attending University in Ireland. Gene's character, Quackser, is much more traditional, pursuing a quiet existence selling his "goods" to local villagers, experiencing nature, and drinking at the local pub. Margot's character wants more from life, but is fascinated by Quackser, and the two begin a relationship. The plot doesn't get much thicker, but it has some funny parts. (At times, I was distracted by Gene's attempt at an Irish accent, but I am really curious to know whether Irish people felt it was a fair attempt , or a disaster.) "
