In England, a group of space scientists led by Bernard Quatermass, who have developed plans for the first Moon colony, learn that a secret, ostensibly government-run, complex of identical design has been built in a remote part of England and is the focus of periodic falls of small, hollow "meteorites" originating in outer space. Quatermass determines to investigate and uncovers a terrifying extraterrestrial life form which has already begun action to take over the Earth.

"In this first sequel in the series, Brian Donlevy travels to England to find the experiment 🥼🧪 from the first movie possibly being duplicated in a secret village, with devastating effects to human skin tissue. He tries to report it, but is stalled at every turn by strange townspeople too loyal to the local government, even knowing that their town is being used for dark science experiments. As the story progresses, Quatermass finds something more sinister, and people are being murdered to keep it secret. As usual, Quatermass must be the voice of reason, and convince the townspeople that they are indeed in danger. "
