"‘Twas good — typical super hero movie. The addition of Krypto the Superdog was a fun touch, and the visual effects—especially in the first half—were absolutely amazing. It probably ran about 30 minutes too long, but overall, it was an enjoyable ride with a cast that brought good energy and chemistry to the screen. 👍🏾 "
"The dog and Mr. Terrific saved this for me. Without it ..this rendition of "today's" superman would have really cut me to my core being an original fan of this franchise and superman being one of the first films i saw in the theatre and shaped my childhood. Also nicholas hoult was an amazing lex author but literally any thing went in this film and they wouldnt let him have his british accent???? And supergirl is hard partying foul mouthed nepo super baby now I guess?? Ok."
"This movie was enjoyable. The action was great. I loved the addition of Krypto the dog. Mr. Terrific gave what needed to be given. I thought there were some spots with lax writing. Like deciphering a language that no one knows from another planet. But overall this movie was funny and touching in places. My little kids absolutely loved it. The action was amazing. I'll rewatch this one. A"
"Been in a pissy mood so finally decided to watch this.
Love the action. It can feel so over the top. But I found it really refreshing and I did like how it actually felt like superhero like. They really don’t hold back on showing their powers.
Cute seeing these movies show them actual save the citizens. Plus animals which made me feel really good.
The Romance was cute it wasn’t as involved as I thought it would be. But it felt nice seeing an actual healthy relationship.
Liked the characters. Wish guy got more attention he was in it the least of the side characters. I mean heroes.
Cool to see superman back to his roots. I’ve always seen him in cartoons and such but really not just him mainly just with the justice league.
Lex Luthor was great hope to see more of him.
This made me realize don’t need to like a superhero movie more or less than another. I grew up on them so I really just like them all. Been a little disinterested but they will always be a movie I’ll watch."
"Was excited to see this, and it definitely was worth the wait, as I enjoyed it a lot. A different take on Superman, seems this Superman doesn't seem that Serious, maybe it was the tone of the fim, Man of Steel was dark and gritty, glad they took a different take. Pretty much a fun watch, with great visuals and some nice action scenes, overall a great action/comic book movie if you're into either genre, I think James Gunn is a good fit for the DCU."
"Absolutely loved it! Entertaining to the fullest, I was remarkably surprised at how heartfelt it appeared and not to mention the out of the box approach it took in terms of starting the film, going straight to the action and never letting go while also allowing the audience to keep track of what is happening. The screenplay was easily the MVP, fleshing out the characters (particularly Lex Luthor) on top of tying it to modern events remarkably well. This was paired with fantastic performances, from Nicolas Hoult (who was clearly the MVP and having the time of his life playing Lex Luthor (reminded me in many ways of the late great Gene Hackman’s approach to the character from the 1978 classic)), along with David Corenswet (who plays both Superman and Clark Kent remarkably well), Rachel Brosnahan and more. One of the best of the year IMO. Very highly recommended both for its timeliness and entertainment value."
