When cat spirit Luo Xiaohei's home is deforested by humans, he must find a new one. He runs into a group of other spirit creatures who take him under their wing with dreams of reconquering the land they say is rightfully theirs. However, they run into a human known as Wuxian who separates Luo Xiaohei from the other spirits and the two go on a journey, with the cat spirit learning to control his abilities as well as forming his own thoughts on whether or not he should ally with the spirits or the humans.

"This was a cute film, the art and character design I loved and the storytelling was great. I watched this in Chinese with English subtitles (it’s better that way in my opinion, I do the same with Japanese anime films too and other foreign films). Furries are going to have a field day with this one, especially in the second film. I love how nonchalant Wuxian (Infinity) is yet he’s a powerful opponent (similar to Frieren). I liked how in the beginning of the film it was uncertain who was the antagonist at first but then come to realize it nearly the middle/end. I would have liked though if they went into depth about how Wuxian was/became a superhuman with powers and how Spirits come into being, how young/old they make themselves look, etc."

"amazing art and scenery, i didn’t look into it and i had no clue it was an action movie at all lol. the soundtrack for the fighting scenes was a little underwhelming but the fighting scenes themselves are pretty good. I watched this in english dub and if i’m being deaduzz the voice for Hei is insanely annoying but otherwise good movie!!!"

"Perfect feel good movie for animation lovers or anyone who loves great 2D graphics! The main characters are so likeable, even the antagonists make you want to be on their side. A great story about environmentalism and how influence can change people. The entire movie has you gasping with the beautiful animation and style. Overall in my top 5 movies, recommend to anyone and everyone. "
