"Really threw my expectations all over the place
Was thinking about giving this a 3 but after finishing it,really is a great movie.
For sure not for everyone it’s very. Honestly I don’t think dark is the right word. Just very bleak throughout.
This could very well be my favorite movie I watched this year. Going to be rough deciding.
Enjoyed the story quite a lot. Plus liked how there are 3 parts and each felt very different. They all are quite intense in their own ways.
Incredible movie. Ryan Gosling might be up there with Jake on how much I like his movies.
I’ll try to do a quick run down on each part without spoiling. Getting deep into it would be tedious. I do just feel a little hyper as well after finishing that movie:
First part obviously is the set up. Very much enjoyed that. It was probably the most emotional too. I really felt for the character. Most entertaining part for sure.
Next part is a different atmosphere. It digs into something a little bit. The perfect amount without it feeling overwhelming. Just shows you a glimpse really. Also shows his grief a little but does so well.
Last doesn’t much address the part before hand. But this is definitely the most tame part. It gives you some breathing room for a bit. It’s very well done though how they slowly wrap everything up.
Could be my last movie for a bit. Probably not but will see next week."
"I watched it because Ryan Gosling was in it. It was okay. I did not find it memorable."

"Super shocking and heavy at some points but gripping plot."
