"Starring Robert Mitchum, Robert Ryan, Lizabeth Scott, William Talman, Ray Collins, and Robert Hutton, this typical but entertaining crime drama us about a new honest Police Captain who wants to clean up his district from a long-runnong corruption ring. It was fun seeing William Talman And Ray Collins act together in something besides the original Perry Mason TV series. I can always count on Robert Mitchum to be tough, gruff, and manly, clipped slang speaking character that really worked for him. The plot is a bit slow at times, but is still worth watching. "
