They were the bad boys of hockey — a team bought by a man with mob ties, run by his 17-year-old son, and with a rep for being as violent as they were good.

"Funny, touching and shocking. Chapman & Maclain Way build an awesome storytelling narrative like they did with Wild Wild Country. I'm a hockey fan (otherwise known as a canadian). I remember the 2004-05 lockout. But I'd never heard this story before. It's brilliantly told. All the characters are attaching. Btw, at the peak of his career, Mike Rupp was a 3rd liner in the NHL... he wasn't even a goal scorer in the AHL. Brodeur, Stevens, Niedermayer and freaking Langenbrunner won the cup for him."
"This was so crazy good! As a 29 year old female who does not watch hockey but was a huge sopranos fan I enjoyed it a lot. The family is allegedly the family the sopranos was written on but I think I saw a different documentary that said the writers of the sopranos writers worked with a different mafia family while writing the show. So who knows. The documentary was crazy good though! "
