Vivacious Lady

"Ginger Rogers plays the role of Francey, a nightclub singer and dancer. James Stewart plays Peter, a botany professor who goes to the nightclub to pick up his tipsy brother. Francey and Peter fall in love at first sight, but that is when the trouble begins. The couple gets married, and most of the film is about Peter trying to break the news to his judgemental father and president of the University he teaches in. Rogers and Stewart have good chemistry, and the plot is simple. "
