"For me, this was a book I know I will go back to and reread parts of it to get remotivated or help me when I am stuck in a rut. I also know I want to reread this to annotate the book and make note of my favorite quotes, advice, and references that were made. I do think it has similarities to other self-help books but I still like Jen Sincero’s ‘vibe’ and overall way of tackling different areas of your life. It was a great audiobook and I can’t wait to reread it in book form."

"I really really loved this book. While listening to Jen you can easily find comparisons in your own life where things could have gone differently if you have taken a chance. Not every part of this would work for everyone but I really think there us something in it for everyone. I am already looking forward to rereading this again at another time. Adapting pieces to my own life is already planting seeds of change. Definitely worth the read or listen as I did. "
"This book is so self-indulgent. "I was just like you, but then I became a successful life coach!" If that was your dream, paging through this, fine. For everyone else it just cherry-picks The Secret's philosophy. I heard "vision board" and my eyes rolled so hard I considered medical intervention. This book promotes a lot of unhealthy self-blame, and is surprisingly racist and ablelist."
"Very good, I'd be more of a fan of there wasn't so much colorful language but hey, the title obvs indicates there will be some. I especially like the resources chapter at the end. More options without all the swearing."

"I've read this book before, and I keep coming back to it when I need a good kick in the ass. It's a bit woo-woo, and I can see why some people might not like it, but I appreciate Sincero's humor and her outright acceptance of how ridiculous it all seems. I think what draws me the most about this book is that while she focuses on how you can use manifestation to your advantage, she talks about how it benefits everyone around you. Obviously, you're going to have to be a bit selfish and maybe a little crazy in the head to want huge things for yourself, but if you're doing it from a place of goodness and you're not screwing anyone else over in the process, you're on the right track.

Basically, YOU have the power to change your current situation, and she gives you tools and ideas to get there. As Laura McKowen says in We Are the Luckiest, "Take what works and leave the rest." I think that's a motto widely used in the recovery space, which makes sense that McKowen uses it, but I think it works for everything in life. I just really dig this book's personal empowerment/responsibility, self-love, and authenticity aspects because they speak to me the most. But I had my highlighter out for the entire read, so there's that."
