"I really wanted to like this because it's a novel focusing on professionals in their 30s and 40s, and one of them has a job that interested me. However the writing style is so bland (it's all "Anna did this. Then Anna did that. Anna was upset" for the entire book) and nearly every conflict that came up was almost immediately solved and the whole thing was just boring to me.<br/><br/>Also it drove me crazy, Katherine is dating her patient’s daughter, which gets her in trouble because of medical ethics breaches. This is solved (of course) but then she becomes her girlfriend’s boss??? And they move in together??? Katherine has to be the stupidest doctor on the planet."
