"**Audiobook Version**
The storyline is great! It starts right off, but doesn't immediately blast you with backstories and asides. It adds them seamlessly into the narrative, and it's definitely an adventure!
I loved the reader's voice, and the characters' voices weren't forced or phony sounding like a lot of others I've listened to. My only complaint really is that sometimes it swaps perspectives abruptly within chapters and can be hard to keep up with at times. I'm sure the physical book has a page or paragraph break to signal the swap, but the audio version doesn't pause any longer than it does between sentences. Loved this whole series!!"
"I gave this four stars. I liked the book but it could have been shorter. I enjoyed the characters and by the end, I had my favorites. What drug the book down was the over indulged details of everything they did. “He got out placed his elbow on the inside of the truck door”. This story had so many unimportant details that 100 pages could have been taken off. Also brand naming of everything, even until the end when he mentioned laying in his Tempur-Pedic mattress. Every item the characters carried with them was identity labeled.I did find out that banana oil smells terrible and is used in respirator masks to assure safety. <br/><br/>"
