"This is not a sequel to Palacio's first book, Wonder. Rather they are parallel side stories about characters from the Wonder universe Palacio created.

We finally get Julian's story, and see what makes him tick. Was he such a bad kid? Maybe not so much. It's nice to consider what was going on in his life to influence his actions. Julian is a lot more complex than just a bully.

There's also Christopher's story, found in Pluto. The reader learns about what it's like to be one of Auggie's friends before he went to school. It's also a story of friends that move apart while trying to stay in touch at the same time, something many children experience.

And finally, Shingaling. This is Charlotte's story. Charlotte is an amazing character that I wish we could have spent more time with in Wonder. I'm glad we got to here. She's a typical kid who experiences friend drama, but she's so nice all around, and finds ways to build bridges among her friends.

I recommend the audio book!"
