"I don't ever seem to feel as though I'm able to convey just how much I love Pepper's books - when it comes to putting my feelings into words, I'm always at a loss. Even now, weeks after finishing, I've read and reviewed a few others since, yet only now am I able to sit and write this without breaking down in tears. The Boy and His Hope was all that I expected and then some. The heartbreak from reading Ren & Della's story was immediately fresh in my mind and suddenly just as painful again. This family... how much pain can one endure? Does the pain not matter when the lover overshadows it? I was, as you can tell, overwhelmed by this story, letting it rip me apart and then heal me yet again with its beauty and love. I always know I'm in for an emotional rollercoaster when picking up one of Pepper's books and The Son and His Hope did NOT disappoint.
