"Nothing is sexier than an unapologetic antihero and this book gives us two!

This isn’t an instalove story as Thor and Loki are an established couple, albeit a secret couple. The only person who knows about their relationship is Loki’s brother Hoor. Loki and author have been together for two years when Thor gets some bad news from home. Destined to support Thor, and get to know more about him, Loki invites himself along to the funeral.

The story tackles issues of survivor’s guilt, family secrets, difficulty dealing with a loved one’s disability, fear, and redemption. M. D. Gregory weaves an intricate story of vulnerability in characters afraid to show weakness. I enjoyed watching the interplay between Loki, Odin, and Hoor. I can’t wait to see how the author explores this in Hoor’s upcoming book.

Although the author explores the conflict between the Norse MC and the rival group, the part of the story with Loki at the end seemed rushed. It was a great addition to the story, as it allowed Thor to express his true feelings about Loki, but it lacked any real resolution.

Overall it was a good book and I would definitely recommend it. I am hoping there is more exploration of this conflict in the next book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review."
