"To my dismay, I watched the movie before I read the book. I'm usually a stickler for the book before movie kind of thing. However, the movie was, in my opinion of course, a good representation of the book! I was impressed. I loved the book and its realistic POV on body image, self confidence, and determination. 10/10 recommend."
"This was a rare occasion where I actually watched the movie first instead of reading (or listening to, in this case) the book. I watched it on Netflix the night it released, and it felt like a favorite sweatshirt. It was such a cute, feel-good movie, I knew I had to get around to the book sooner or later.

Listening on audio probably bumped this up a star higher than it would have been if I had just read it. The narrator was great, and I really enjoyed her performance. What brought it down for me - and what the movie didn’t have - was the completely unnecessary love triangle. It added nothing of value to the story, and I see why they took it out for the movie adaptation."
