#1 New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey is back with an all-new enemies-to-lovers, fake-dating sports romance about a playboy hockey rookie and the disciplined softball pitcher completely immune to his charms.Boston Bearcats rookie Robbie Corrigan is living the dream. He’s made it to the NHL, his best friend/teammate and fellow “orgasm donor” is his roomie—and the women of Boston love them both. Life is sweet. That is, until he meets Skylar Paige, division 1 softball pitcher, girl least likely to take anyone’s bull…and the one member of the opposite sex immune to his charms. Robbie might be dazzled by the badass pitcher, but Skylar pegs him as a filthy player and wants nothing to do with him. When he discovers she’s carrying a serious torch for her brother’s best friend, Robbie knows he should just go back to clubbing and whipped cream bikini parties, but he can’t seem to leave Skylar to flounder on her romantic quest to land another man. Nor can he miss out on the opportunity to spend time with her and hopefully redeem himself. Before Robbie knows it, he’s agreed to be Skylar’s fake boyfriend/love coach at an upcoming family wilderness competition where her crush will be in attendance. What could go wrong?Through a series of contests that require them to trust each other, Robbie and Skylar grow closer and closer until their fake relationship starts to feel like the realest thing they’ve ever known and the sizzling lessons in sensuality burn out of control. But it’s all just pretend…right?

Was this book perfect? Definitely not. Did I thoroughly enjoy it despite its flaws? Absolutely! Fake dating is such a fun trope if executed well, and this book did not disappoint! It was fast paced and fun, and I really liked both of the main characters! Robbie had major golden retriever vibes and some pretty good character development, which I enjoyed! Skylar was very complex and likable, if a bit uptight at times! The two of them made such a cute couple! Lots of both fluff and spice, and the epilogue was adorable! I enjoyed Skylar's complex family dynamics, as it added a lot to the story, though I wasn't a huge fan of any of her family members. The narrators of the audiobook did an incredible job, so I'm kinda glad I didn't physically read this one! Really the only thing I didn't like about this book were the nicknames that the main characters gave each other. Redbeard & Rocket? No thanks. Overall this was a solid read and I'm looking forward to book five!

"I had higher-hopes for this book.
Their banter at the end of "The Au Pair Affair" was *chef's kiss*
Don't get me wrong: It was good. Wasn't *great* but wasn't bad either.

I wanted more angst from Skylar and a little more f*ckboy-vibes from Corrigan. It was a solid 70% on both of those fronts. I also am *not* a fan of insta-love and have only seen it done right in a few other books.

I did love the scene where he saves her when she gets a cramp. That was really sweet. Also, the cameos from Sig / Chloe & Burgess / Tallulah were AWESOME. I love how "Dream Girl Drama" and "Pitcher Perfect" and "The Au Pair Affair" all kind of intertwine at the same time. Bits of those stories correlate to this one.

Looking forward to Madden / Eve's story next :D I LOVED the scene at the Gilded Garden where he puts his fist through the wall LOL!"
