"The writing was very good but I was not totally invested in the two protagonists. "

"Having already read the other books in the Crowns of Nyaxia series, I was excited to get back into this world! She did a fantastic job keeping this book consistent and references things from the other books. The pace is good, never too slow and never so fast that it gets confusing. The romance had great build up and I loved the characters. I can’t wait for her next book 😍!"
"I really enjoyed this from beginning to end. Sylina is the most epic, mysterious, bad ass FMC I’ve come across. I LOVED the magic system that Sylina and the sisterhood used. The fact that Sylina was never a damsel in distress but an equal partner in all of the plot twisting fights. I adored the amazing character that is our hero Atrius, who’s not really morally gray but more, just goes with the flow of what people think because it’s easier that way to accomplish his goals which aren’t bad at all. His passion to his people is endless. Seeing the dynamic grow and change between him and Sylina is absolute chef’s kiss! This is all plot with a lot of, I wouldn’t really call it angst but, romantic passionate growth that culminates in very beautifully worded spice. Great story! Happy reading!"
"4.5 ⭐️ I adore this author/the world of Nyaxia and this book is no exception. I loved being witness to Sylina’s growth and trusting herself more as she is able to experience a world that is outside of her own. My heart goes out to Atrius and what he’s been through. Seeing their relationship develop was perfection. While this does have some spice it comes late in the book and does not overwhelm the plot. "
"⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
The was the weakest book in the Crowns of Nyaxia series. Though I liked the creativeness of the Arachessen, the plot left a lot to be desired and the characters were a bit bland. I would have been so much happier reading this book as a novella, similar to Six Scorched Roses, rather than a full length novel. This book almost put me in a slump; it took me muchhh longer to finish than other books of similar length.
To me, Atrius is just plain boring. He maybe says 20 lines in the entire book, and he doesn’t really have a personality. Sylina is okay, I liked her but she wasn’t a stand out character. I didn’t really get their chemistry, especially since Atrius stands there like a statue 9/10 days of the week. The plot twist at the end was rather predictable, and the story wrapped up almost immediately with a neat little bow afterwards. The marching off into battle aspect got old after a while, too.
Overall, I am excited for Mische’s book next in the series, but this one was not good enough to hold my interest for long."
