A place where she can trek through a forest, fly on a zip line, and even ride on a horse! A place where maybe she really can finally make a real friend, make her own decisions, and even do things on her own—the dream! "Just like “out of my mind” this book has my heart. It was so sweet to see Melody feel in her words “like the other kids.” It was such a great read to see Melody make friends she can relate too, people she doesn’t have to worry about judging or being fake to her, and get to enjoy something she has never done before. I hope there’s another boom where she gets to see all her friends, maybe do some outside camp activities, and maybe even hang out with Noah!! Please read these 2 books there great!"
"Definitely when she was about to go into the swimming pool! "

"My son is getting this one for Christmas tomorrow and I was able to listen to it quickly this week. We like to do tandem reads and then talk about the books, and I can't wait to talk with him about this one.

I loved that Melody was able to branch out and be her own person, without family and known people to shelter her. Her personality came out in a different way as she tried new things for the first time at a summer camp. Hiking, boating, swimming, zip-lining, horseback riding, dancing, and more. This was a fun one! I love seeing more children with disabilities represented in YA and MG literature."
