"Having really enjoyed Stargirl, I was a bit underwhelmed with this companion novel. Although I know it is not meant for it to be a sequel, I figured since the format is her writing letters to Leo that it would provide more information than the ending of Stargirl had provided. I enjoyed her realizations and coming to terms with love and loneliness, but in the end the pacing of the book was a struggle with so many “letters” discussing side characters and side plots that after a while didn’t really do much for me. There were great quotes and towards the Fall portion of the book, I was hooked but all in all...the book just didn’t impact me as much as Stargirl did."

"I was really disappointed in this. It just doesn't seem like Stargirl's voice...maybe I was too intrigued by her in the original book that I set myself up for disappointment. I just didn't see the girl that had files on everyone in an office, that did secret things for people based on what she read in flyers and newspaper fillers, that would kiss Hillary on the cheek after she was smacked in the face...this Stargirl just seemed too normal to me. I don't know."
