Then a friend tells her about Ghost, a new drug that allows users to see the dead. Wanna get haunted? he asks. "This was a great spooky read for October! Gross descriptions of mushrooms I never would have imagined. The ghosts within were definitely creepy enough to make me shutter. I had no idea what to expect going into this and the entire time I had no idea where it was going to take me. This one did not disappoint. The descriptions were great and gross all at the same time. Made me feel like I too had just taken Ghost and wanted to get haunted. I was rooting for the main character Erin to resist the urge to want to get haunted but also I wanted to see the world within getting haunted. It was an easy, fast pace read. I would have read it all in one sitting if I didn’t have other life responsibilities. Definitely check this one out if you don’t mind some gross descriptions, mentions of self harm, and the mention of abortion/loss of babies. I did tear up a little when it came to the loss of the babies but I think I’m more sensitive since having my own son and cannot imagine losing him. If you want to get ‘haunted’ check this one out!

It did help that I have family who live in Richmond, VA so it was a lot of fun to read in the perspective location that I’ve visited before."
"⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5 Stars)
Clay McLeod Chapman’s horror novel, Ghost Eaters, had me on the brink of DNFing. I was convinced that IF I managed complete it, the highest rating remotely possible would be 3 stars. Needless to say, I was wrong. If you pick this book up, which I recommend you do, push through parts 1 & 2. Once you hit part 3 it really picks up. Parts 4 & 5 had me barreling through unable to put the book down. I think this book is truly a diamond in the rough. Please check this one out. You won't be sorry.
