"An autobiography is a history of a person's life written or told by that person. Steven Tyler is a musician, song writer and currently a judge on American Idol. And now I suppose he can add Author to his resume' now having written his life story. If he attempts to write another book, he might think about getting a ghost writer or take writing courses. Until that happens, this is simply his story told the only way he knows how. His humor is sprinkled through-out and his words genuine.

When I learned he had written his life story, I wanted to read it. I have been a fan of Aerosmith from the time I was 15 years old and I think he is incredibly talented. So I bought the book. And will wonders never cease! I got Steven's life story "in his own words". It is ever apparent in some of the reviews on his book that some people just don't "get" Steven. He is who he is. I don't agree or condone a lot of his decisions and especially his perspective relative to his infidelity, among other aspects of his lifestyle. But as I said, he is who he is and he's telling his life story as he sees it. My opinion on him in general is "you just can't help but like the guy." If you watch American Idol you might notice he seems to genuinely care about people and that comes out in his autobiography. I also have the opinion that anyone with his calibur of fame has to be a little into themselves to do what he does for a living. So regardless of my disagreements with his choices in life and his obvious inexperience in journalism, I still give this 4 stars for Steven's candidness."
