"For this genre (Christian romance/suspense) this was a good book. But based on novels overall, for me, it was just eh... Not bad, but slow and parts of the plot felt forced."

"3/5 ⭐️ I always really enjoy Dee Henderson's writing, particularly the way she writes the characters' inner thoughts and their grappling with faith. In this book, however, I did not love the romance. Although I liked what the romantic relationship grew into, I did not understand the supposed initial connection and didn't like the male lead's insistence on seeing the female lead again despite her rejections of him. The side suspense plot was also interesting at times, but not my favorite. I had read this one previously before, and unfortunately I did not love it as much as I had previously."
