"Overall, an interesting adaptation of Jane Eyre. It's definitely not as good as the original, but it held my interest. I'm just thrilled that someone finally has given Jane Eyre the attention it deserves (So thanks Lindner). The alterations were very fitting to a modern retelling. By the time I hit the halfway point I had to stay up late to finish it."
"2 1/2 stars. As a graphic novel, this was well done. As a modern reinterpretation of Jane Eyre, mmmm, not so much. If I can think of it as loosely inspired by the original novel, okay, maybe. I honestly had a hard time with Jane doing things that felt very un-Jane-like. Even as the modern young woman she was imagined to be, I had a hard time watching her do things that felt out of character for the character the author created. Maybe I'd the story had been fleshed out more, it'd be different. But there were a lot of plot holes that left me dissatisfied as a reader."
