"Grace had potential as a lighthearted Regency romance, but it ultimately fell flat due to its rushed romance and weak conflict. The love story between Grace and Nicholas developed far too quickly, making it hard to believe in their connection. It felt like they were suddenly in love after just a few days, which made their relationship feel shallow rather than compelling.

The third-act misunderstanding was especially frustrating. Grace’s attempt to get Nicholas’s attention by parading around town with her sisters could have been an interesting plot point, but it was twisted into an unnecessary and illogical conflict. Nicholas’ belief that Grace was trying to escape him felt forced, and his reaction—distancing himself—was overdramatic and frustrating. The conflict could have been resolved with a single conversation, but instead, it dragged the story down.

That said, Grace was still somewhat enjoyable as a short, easy read. However, it might have been stronger if it had been a little longer, giving more time to develop the romance and characters properly. As it stands, it was entertaining enough to pass the time, but not particularly memorable or satisfying."
