I can’t believe I have to go home to Nebraska for my sister’s wedding. I’m gonna need a wingman and a whole lot of vodka for this level of family interaction. At least my bestie agreed he’d man up and help. Too bad he had to catch a different flight than me. Then his plane got delayed. And finally—because bad things always happen in threes—instead of my best friend, his evil twin strolls out of the airport. If you looked up doesn’t-deserve-to-be-that-confident, way-too-hot-for-his-own-good billionaire in the dictionary, you’d find a picture of Will Holt. He’s awful. Horrible. The worst—even if his butt looks phenomenal in those jeans.Ten times worse? My buffer was supposed to be there to keep me away from the million and one family events. But Satan’s spawn just grins and signs us up for every. Single. Thing.Fine. “Cutthroat” Scrabble? I’m in. I can’t wait to take this guy down a notch. But somewhere between Pictionary and the teasing glint in his eyes, our bickering starts to feel like more than just a game...

"Avery Flynn in general... One thing that I have noticed in Avery Flynn's characters is that she takes her character type to the extreme. If her books were movies I'd call it over acting. I've read 8 or 9 of her books now and there is a common thread among them... I want soooo very much to really like if not love them but I just can't. She has such great ideas but very poor execution. If she would just tone down her character types a little and stop literally slapping you in the face with whatever point she's trying to get across in her books I feel that her books would be eons better. Her books have such great potential and she chooses really good narrators for the audiobooks. I just feel let down every time I pick up one of her books. And YET because her books are always such great idea I keep picking them up in the hopes that one day she will get better at her execution of her stories.

This book in particular... This book was supposed to be a humors enemies to lovers and it just missed that goal. I only found myself laughing once or twice through out the whole book... Enemies to lovers is my favorite trope right now and I didn't even like that aspect of it. They weren't really enemies it was more like he was a judgmental ass and she was a clueless girl (though I didn't really have much of an issue with her) The Hero in this story takes forrrreverrrrr to experience personal growth. I did not really like him and she was just kind of meh. Their "Chemistry" was missing as in I felt they too would have made better friends rather than lovers once he learns to trust people. Over all I'm sort of glad I was able to get this Audiobook through Audibles Plus and didn't actually buy it...

Sorry Avery Flynn, I'll keep reading your books if I'm able to read them for free in the hopes that one day I'll actually love one."
