"I love this story; it reminds me of the bachelor but royal style especially with all of the different girls and relationships. I love America with her fiery yet admirable character as well as Maxon and Aspen as they are both so endearing. "

"<strong>Easy read but not believable </strong><br/><br/>So not sure if I'm the only one but I didn't understand the whole dystopian society. None of it really made sense to me. The politics were strange. Unsure how a man with money took over the U.S. and then got to name it after himself. Also the Royal family was sloppy getting attacked every other week by a bunch of poor people. Really that was my biggest qualm that nothing in this story was believable.<br/><br/>I did like the main character America she was endearing in a way. Also very simple and matter of fact. But besides her none of the other characters had much depth.<br/><br/>This was a very easy light read that's probably the only reason I finished it. The plot wasn't strong, the characters insufficient, and the world building was not believable.<br/><br/>What are two things that should be true about royalty? They are private. They have to rule the country with fear or love. Since the country is in chaos and people are literally starving it's obviously not love. And since they get attacked every other weeks it's not fear either. So how are they keeping afloat?<br/><br/>Other things that didn't seem right in the royalty situation. The prince was too nice, America rudely informal, their meetings should have been suspicious to everyone else, the prince gave away secrets like candy to someone he barely knew. The only thing that would save all this is if he was secretly cruel and lied about everything he told her. If not he is an incompetent idoit and doesn't deserve to rule.<br/><br/>Not much of a cliff hanger either in the end. I definitely don't feel the need to read the next book."
"I've read book 1 to 3. The story is exciting and well written. I have enjoyed the little details moving together, there were not much though. It was so predictable but at the same time I wanted to continue reading. I would have prefered more details and less drama in this series but anyway it was an enjoyable read."
"I didn’t love or hate this book. The plot is a bit like the hunger games, but with princesses trying to win the hand of a prince. I don’t love America (The MC) tbh I find her kind of annoying. While this is not a series I will buy or read again, I am interested to see where Cass takes the plot next. Overall, a good read. Relaxing, easy, short and fairly fast paced. I’m hoping that with the next books, I will be invested in more of the characters! Although I like Maxon a lot. 3 1/2 stars. "
