IMPLOSION!The worst has happened: Fleet is tearing itself apart. Some of the mutineers see injustice in the unequal spread of the rejuvenation drugs that offer virtual immortality to the rich; others are simply thirsty for power, or for blood. The Loyalists, meanwhile, fight desperately to preserve the rule of law in Familias Regnant space. But when Esmay Suiza-Serrano is unceremoniously booted out of Fleet, the apparent victim of Family politics, she has no idea of the whirlwind of conflict into which she is about to be drawn. As the noose tightens on galactic civilization, great battles will be fought and greater loves affirmed ... and old friends will meet their destinies.

"<strong>Spoilers ahead</strong><br/><br/>I liked this book more than the previous one. I only read this one because TJ was in the last one and he was a really good guy. Unfortunately in this book he's just another arrogant MMC. I'm so tired of reading about men who smirk all the time and never take a woman seriously when she's mad because she's just so cute. There were some really poignant moments in this book that showed the author has some real talent. Unfortunately those moments are rare. My biggest problem with this book comes about half way through when the ages of the characters is revealed. TJ is 25 and Carla is just 19. I find these kind of age gaps disgusting and would not have started this book had I known. I hate that so many authors try to normalize these relationships. It makes their meeting in a bar where she tries to walk away and he grabs her arm refusing to let her go so much more toxic. It was already weird enough that a recovering alcoholic was hanging at a bar but knowing how young Carla was after the fact makes my skin crawl and that entire scene."
