Especially if the moment includes the deliciously sexy surfer she meets shortly after arriving in Lucky Harbor. Something about the dark intensity of Sam's eyes and the thrill she gets at his touch convinces her to stay awhile.Boatbuilder and investment genius Sam Brody is a self-made man who knows how dangerous it can be to mix business and pleasure. But he can't resist offering Becca a job just to hear her laugh and have her near. Yet when her brother comes to town asking for help, will he tempt her back to her glamorous life in the city? Or do Sam and little Lucky Harbor have a chance to win Becca's heart?

"

I can't help it, I just love this series. The guys are hot, the girls aren't pathetic damsels. There is much swooning involved in this series. Every time a guy does something sweet, something other than the obvious bouquet of flowers, I melt. I love when they've picked up on a thing the girl likes and gets it for her, for not reason other than it would make her happy. That right there is sweet.

I was hesitant to read this. This is the last three books coming in this series. I'm sad, I want more, I never want it to end. I love how Ms. Shalvis introduces the next characters before their book, so we get to see an idea of who is coming next to get us excited. But now, now I'm stuck with the idea that now I have only two more books left in this series. And it makes me sad. This was one of my first contemporary romance series I started and I have stuck with it. This doesn't fall apart after book 5 and drowned the series. I'm sad to see it end.

Sam. SGS. Sexy Grumpy Surfer. At first, we get this idea he's only out for a good time. Beach bum maybe. But he's not. He's a great character. He's strong, flawed and caring, even if he can't understand why he cares so much. He sees something in Becca that makes him jump up to be her protector, even if she thinks he's being silly over it. Or her. But I like this trait in a character, who doesn't think first what he would get out of it before he does it. He's only motivated to help her, not to collect a debt.

Becca's story is a bit drawn out and I get impatient when things are alluded to and it takes the whole book for it to come out. Sometimes I like knowing the story and watching as the hero finally figures it all out. The book is good if this is the only thing that got to me. And it isn't huge. I spent more time swooning over Sam than really bugged about finding out Becca's story. So that made up for it."
