Knowledge is power. That would be the motto of Lander University, had it not been snatched up and used to death by others long before the school was founded. For while Lander offers a full range of courses to nearly all students, it also offers a small number of specialty classes to a very select few. Lander is home to the Hero Certification Program, a curriculum designed to develop student with superhuman capabilities, commonly known as Supers, into official Heroes. Five of this year's freshmen are extra special. They have a secret aside from their abilities, one that they must guard from even their classmates. Because for every one person in the world with abilities they can control, there are three who lack such skill. These lesser super beings, Powereds as they are called, have always been treated as burdens and second class citizens. Though there has been ample research in the area, no one has ever succeeded in turning a Powered into a regular human, let alone a Super. That is, until now...

"This is series started as a web novel so the books themselves are a bit long. But it is one of the best superhero series I’ve ever read. The twists and turns leave you guessing in every book, and the character development is so good you feel for even the side characters. I’d highly recommend it #fantasy #superheroes #ya "
"This has easily become one of my all time favorite series, and a contender for the top spot. Drew does an incredible job of reaching satisfying resolutions to not only the main plot line, but every single plot thread he'd opened throughout the series.
an editor might have been needed for the first book, specifically to cut back on dialogue attributions, but whether he has a dev editor or did it all himself, whatever he did worked better to create amazing characters, plot lines, structure, setting, world building, and everything else than even a lot of the best authors with the best editors at the most prestigious publishers.
I'd already read a couple of Drew's other books in other series and plan to finish them, but after this series I'm now a devoted fan of his and will give him the benefit of doubt indefinitely.
Thank you Drew Hayes, you crafted an incredible story with ample closure and I know I'll read it again... probably many times."
"Easily my favorite series. Even if you’re not a “super hero” person, this book/ series, really makes you think. You really connect with the characters and get to watch as they grow into who they are supposed to be. It’s a fun read, but still hits on personal growth, and is easy to identify with the characters and their journeys. "
