"1. Oh I wish Ms. Woolf could see our world now. I want to read a current essay, Women and Fiction, one hundred years later.
2. I didn’t agree with everything, but the deeper truth hit deep. Women have come so far, the world has changed so much, but so many things are still the same.
3. I feel like a more intelligent person for reading this book. I immediately developed an appreciation for the study of literature. I should go through this book again, more slowly, and actually study it. If I could live a million lives and do all of the things, I would. But I have other priorities and this will never be me. Maybe I’ll actually be doing the things that Ms. Woolf says to do in the last chapter.
4. The scientist in me ( that loves charts and graphs and short and to the point information) thought “too many words!” My mind wandered a bit.
5. 87% of the books I have read since joining Goodreads have been written by women. 95% of the books I have read in the past 2 years have been written by women."
