"It was time to immersive myself in the legendary tale of Jekyll and Hyde a story everyone knows, but I didn't know well myself. I haven't watched any of the movies or associated much with it at all. Expect knowing the twist at the end which almost everyone already knows.
It's good, one of the classics I'm happy I read. Also definitely misinterpreted by pop culture, as almost everything is. That's why you have to read the source material for things. Getting a clear and unbias look at things is one of the things I've learned is most important when it comes to getting information reliably. The most major misinterpretation is that Jektll is just "good" and Hyde is "bad" which oversimplifies what's going on. it's a more complicated relationship where they both share more than you would think. There's a famous essay that was included in the version of the book I had done by Vladimir Nabokov and he went over this eloquently.
I liked how the author left out a lot of key information at times to build different things in the novel. I know that Nabokov said this wasn't styled like a mystery but the big reveal at the end did remind me of a Christie novel. I would check this one out if you haven't. Deserves the title of a classic."
"So it wasn't scary at first and mmaybe not at all for some people. But the second half scared me because Dr. Jekyll was me. Allow me to explain...

First off the book is way better than any of the movies or remakes. In everything I have read and seen, Dr. Jekyll is a nice man who makes himself a potion that makes him into a hulking monster. but that is not what actually happens;

<spoiler>

Jekyll

Dr. Jekyll is man torn between good and bad. He is a good person with a dark side. His dark side haunts him, he wants badly to let it out, to be free from the obligations of being 'Good'. So in order to indulge in his dark side he creates a potion. this Potion changes his apperance and amplifies the dark side ten fold. Enter Mr. Hyde.

Hyde

Mr. Hyde is not a hulking monster. Nor is he a different personalty as we know it. He is Jekyll in another form, with differnt traits. Jekyll is a tall thin good looking man, Hyde is a dwarfish man with an evil face. Everyone who meets Hyde knows there is something wrong with him. but no one can ever place it. Mr. Hyde is not a monster as YOU might think of a monster.Hyde is the kind of person who would knock someone over then continue walking trample over their body. But at first he is still Jekyll until the personality begins to split.

Now the end is the scary part because Hyde eventually kills a man and Jekyll swears to never drink a potion again. But it doesn't matter because eventually Hyde breaks from his prison and takes control of Jekyll anyway. In the end Jekyll fights a battle in himself, battling his own hate and anger. I have been down the road. It scares me to think I could have fallen to my darker side.

I know that may sound really cliche and a bit stupid but it is the truth."
"I loved this book! The only thing that kept from giving me five stars as I really really really wanted to know Addison’s reaction to these letters. Other than that I really thought it was incredible. If I could’ve gave it a 4.5 I would’ve."
