Frank E. Peretti
Ted Dekker
A mind-bending supernatural thriller from the creators of This Present Darkness and Saint. Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker--two of the most acclaimed writers of supernatural thrillers--have joined forces for the first time to craft a story unlike any you've ever read. Enter House--where you'll find yourself thrown into a killer's deadly game in which the only way to win is to lose . . . and the only way out is in. The stakes of the game become clear when a tin can is tossed into the house with rules scrawled on it. Rules that only a madman--or worse--could have written. Rules that make no sense yet must be followed. One game. Seven players. Three rules. Game ends at dawn.

"I made it 33% into this audiobook and just couldn’t keep going. The storyline felt boring and average , I’ve heard good things about this book so it was disappointing. A couple stumbles upon a house in the woods where a family of hillbilly’s live, there also happens to be another couple there thinking it’s a low star bed-and-breakfast. Both couples get trapped in the house along side these bizarre folks meanwhile being hunted by a shadow figure in a trench coat outside. "
"This book would have better if Stephanie had died. She couldn’t get it together. If Jack was the only left that would have worked for me.

I thought Lisa was black because the book said she taught at Alabama State University(an HBCU) but her character wasn’t black. At least it never said that or gave any hints to that other than mentioning ASU.

Ryan panic the entire time but aleast he wasn’t Stephanie.

The plot twist was great. The people in the house, killer who I saw coming a million miles away. I liked how he messed with each of their minds."
"Ive red a ton by Ted Dekker. He's great but not really a horror writer. Read some by Frank Peretti and he is very good with horror. This is one of my favorites. It's just a really good level of psychological, chilling, and paranormal with some good gore. It has a great balance. They also made a movie of it but its not as good of course... and deviates from the book quite a bit"
