"Creepy captivating weird story "

"If you were a fan of the show Dexter and his relationship with Hannah McKay, then you might enjoy this duo vigilante serial killer story. It’s got some twists and an extra helping of spice in the latter half. I felt the audiobook was done very well. It was almost like a dramatized adaptation having the two narrators voice the lines of their character instead of just their POV. Be aware of the many TWs at the beginning of the book."

"TikTok rec: I feel like this book was for specific readers. I’m huge fan of dark humor and anti-heroes and I’m not fazed by gore. I think that was what this book is supposed to be. Huge fan of “The Boys” for example. To me, it was lackluster and I got bored at like 50% and it was a struggle just to get there. I get what it was trying to be. FOR ME, it was not. Basically, I’d didn’t go far enough, like I was expecting more. I’m not saying it’s a bad read, for me, I got bored."

"**Please for your own mental health look up TW's before reading the book!! ** When this book first came out and I heard that it was a dark rom com I thought "how does that even work?" and because of that I was a bit hesitant to read the book for a while, but I am so glad I did because as soon as I did I understood what everyone was talking about. I would say I still do not understand how a dark rom com works but someway, somehow... Brynne Weaver found a way with this book!! I immediately fell in love with Sloane and Rowan and see their relationship grow. Who knew serial killers falling in love could make one giggle 🤭"

The only reason I gave it a 4.5 ⭐ instead of a full 5 stars, is simply that the spicy scenes were not to my particular taste (not so much that they were in the story at all, just that the details weren't my "flavor"). Otherwise, it was awesome! "
