"I love retellings. And I really LOVE Anne of Green Gables. So I was equal parts excited and super-duper nervous to read this one.<br/><br/>That being said, the modernization was really well done. I think this could bring some new fans to the original, while making some people pretty irritated at the very light and innocent LGBT+ content that has been added (which I rather enjoyed). I look forward to reintroducing Anne to kids."
