"This was such a beautifully written book. Very complex, tragic and character driven. There was so much going on with many interest points for me. I can see where some people might think it’s slow or too long, but that played into the character dynamics and plot. The only negative for me was sometimes the authors writing made it hard to understand certain sentences, and I’d have to re-read things for them to make sense to me. For such a large book, I plowed through this in 2 day! Amazing. Never read a book like it. It did remind me a bit of Donna Tartt’s The Goldfinch with the character driven writing and tragic story telling as well as Jennifer Hartman’s stories!"

The pacing is slow and very character driven however the short chapters make it an easy page turner. <br/><br/>Please do not sabotage your enjoyment of this book by expecting a fast-paced thriller, this is not that. It is infact, so much more. <br/><br/>For fans of 'Where the Crawdads Sing' and 'All the Ugly and Wonderful Things'"
