"Cosmos by Carl Sagan is 100% pure liquid gold— no, platinum! Every chapter, every sentence, a droplet of aw, imagination, brilliance, and inspiration. It was well narrated- but now I’m that much more excited to read Pale Blue Dot and hear the passion and wonder presented by Sagan in his own voice!

Truly coming to terms with an atheistic approach to my existence has been a bit of a struggle this year. And a lot of books, conversations, articles, podcasts and the likes have been important and helpful throughout my religious deconstruction as a whole over the past 5 years or so. But I’m counting this as one of the top reads to excite me about this new perspective, and I’d highly recommend it to any skeptic in their pursuit of personal peace, purpose, and drive for life. Also anyone. I’d recommend it to anyone."

"Cosmos is an eye opening introduction to where we came from and where we are headed. Sagan starts off with stories from our early civilizations and takes the reader on a journey through the stars, exploring the junctions between science and philosophy through the lenses of physics, history, plain and simple curiosity. I love how he ended the book with a call to action, urging the reader (and humanity in general) to focus on our survival, for the purpose of being in a greater cosmic society. 10/10"
