"This book was disorienting to read. The amount of characters involved meant the reader had a lot to keep track of without ever getting a chance to really understand one of them. Then, the author throws in many different dates which makes the conflict hard to follow in the whole book disagreeable.
I really liked the character, Odette, and her drive to solve a mystery, but felt that her role in the book was too small. Who is the main character of this book? I wish it would’ve been one of the legacies, but because every character is poorly written and one-dimensional, the reader is left without anyone to root for.
The concept of this book as a whole was the whole reason I picked it up in the first place. I loved that being a time traveler was a career just like anything else. However, with the very confusing time jumps and an overload of characters, the author missed the mark on this one badly. It’s really too bad.
2/5.
